Khabib Nurmagomedov was originally scheduled to fight with Tony Ferguson but due to lockdown in Russia Khabib is unable to traven to US. That was the reason why Tony Ferguson will fight with Justin Gaethje instead of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Co-main Event of UFC 249: Henry Cejudo vs Dominick Cruz Fight
Henry Cejudo, the current bantamweight champion, will battle with Dominick Cruz who is the former Strapholder in UFC bantamweight division and this Cejudo vs Cruz fight will be the co-main event of UFC 249. It will be the first UFC fight of Dominick Cruz in octagon after his return from three and half year since he lost his title to Cody Garbrandt in 2016. This fight will also be the first defense of the belt for Henry Cejudo where Cejudo was originally scheduled to fight with Jose Aldo in Brazil at UFC 250 but duo to travel ban and lockdown situation Aldo is also unable to leave his home country.
